Purpose

To equip aspiring fitness professionals with real-world experience, mentorship, and leadership development through hands-on training in a high-standard, faith-driven, results-based environment.

 

Program Vision

To raise the next generation of servant-leader coaches who embody discipline, community, and a covenant to personal and professional excellence.

 

Who It's For

  • College students studying exercise science, kinesiology, sports performance, or related fields.

  • Recently certified personal trainers seeking practical experience.

  • Future coaches who align with our core values and want to be part of a mission-driven team.

 

Program Pillars

  1. Servant Leadership Training
     

    • Interns learn to lead by serving—helping members, supporting coaches, and taking ownership of their space.

    • Focus on communication, observation, and encouragement.

  2. Foundations of Coaching
     

    • Shadow and assist in group classes and personal training sessions.

    • Learn how to scale movements, cue effectively, and create a strong coaching relationships

  3. Practical Methodologies of Programming
     

    • Understand Compound Fitness Pillars of Fitness: Texas Strength, Conjugate Strength, Metabolic Conditioning, Function Movement Bootcamps.

    • Exposure to our seasonal training approach that provides long-term member success 

  4. Community & Culture Immersion
     

    • Interns help facilitate events, track member wins, and uphold CF’s culture of connection and care.

    • Opportunity to contribute to content, social media, and athlete spotlights.

  5. Professional Growth
     

    • Weekly mentorship meetings with lead trainers or leadership team.

    • Book readings and reflection assignment (Culture Code, Sections of Starting Strength , CF Level 2, How to win Friends and Influence People

Time Commitment

  • 8–12 weeks

  • 8–12 hours per week (flexible around school or work schedules)

  • Must be available for a mix of morning/evening/weekend sessions

 

Outcomes

  • Certificate of Completion

  • Hands-on hours logged for school or certification requirements

  • Letter of recommendation (for those who meet expectations)
